Former Scotland international David McNamee signed for Leamington in November 2013, making 16 appearances as Brakes finished in 13th position in their first season in the Conference North. He made just one appearance the following season before appearently retiring and joining the Royal Navy. 

As well as featuring for several clubs in Scotland, David also turned out for Blackburn Rovers, Coventry City and Plymouth Argyle in a professional career that began in 1997.
