18 September 2004 v Alveston
(A) 3-1

Jamie Towers at the end of the double-winning 2006-7 campaign,
capping another outstanding season.

Richard Adams: forward |
| |
Richard
Adams, signed from West Midlands Police shortly after inflicting
a damaging defeat of the Brakes, became a Leamington legend when
scoring our goal in the 1-9 FA Cup First Round Proper defeat
at Colchester United in 2005-06. Despite arriving having played
as a sweeper for Police, Richard became a prolific scorer for
Leamington, netting no fewer than 38 times during our promotion
from the Midland Combination and notching another 20 the season
after. Little wonder that senior clubs began to take an interest.
Richard was tempted to sign for Redditch United in February
2006. One year later he moved on to Solihull Borough, scoring
three goals in the last months of the 2006-07 Southern League
season. The prodigal son returned to Leamington
in July 2007 but could not secure a consistent starting place
and left for Stratford Town in early November 2007. |

United Reserves on 2 April 2003. Given
squad number 33, Tom made only one appearance for the City
first team. On
12 April 2003 he game on as a substitute in the 77th minute
in the Nationwide League One game against Ipswich Town. Brakes
player Ben Mackey made his debut in the same game.

briefly for Stratford Town before joining Northern Irish team
Ards.
He returned later that season to the Coventry area due to work
commitments, joining Bedworth United and later Massey Ferguson.
After being a member of Leamington's 2006-7 double winning squad,
Tom enjoyed a spell at Rochdale FC in late 2006-07, making two
appearances as a subsitute in the club's Football League Division

4 August 2007, Joe McGorian Cup home v. Romulus |

from Woodford United on 24 May 2007 with a reputation as a
goal scoring forward.
A strong and bustling target man, Russell
established himself as a key player. But with his games
to goals ratio not yet reaching the level of his past achievements,
the lure of higher wages took him to Brackley in January
2008.

| Date of birth |
Brakes' debut |
| - |
4 October 2007, home to Studley in Birmingham
Senior Cup |
|
Signed
for Leamington on 12 July 2007. Chris joined Leatherhead

year at Bedfont. A great shot stopper, Chris started his career
with West Bromwich Albion and Mansfield Town, before a spell
with Conference side Tamworth. He has also played for Team
Bath. Unfortunately, Chris's arrival coincided with a spell of
sustained excellent performance by incumbent Richard Morris.
His debut proved to be his only appearance for the club. Seeking first-team football, Chris left for Coalville Town in
December 2007. |
Tom James: midfielder |

19 September 2006 v Banbury

Did not make the breakthrough into the side at a time when Brakes
had a strong squad, and moved on early in season 2007-08. Signed

| 30 October 1980 |
| Brakes debut |
12 August 2006 v Oadby Town (H) 1-0
(Midland Alliance) |
| Playing history |
Dave
Pearson joined the Brakes before the start of the 2006-07 season
from Solihull Borough. He joined Solihull from Rugby
United in May 2005, following manager Tony Dobson. His
previous clubs include Coventry City, Luton Town, Shepshed
Dynamo, Stratford Town, Hereford United, and Rugby United.
Dave really was a supersub in 2006-7, coming off the bench
more than he started. His ability to turn defenders and his
burst of speed undid many a tiring defence.
Signed for Woodford United before season 2007-8 but moved on
to Rugby Town in December 2007. |

Jamie Towers : midfielder |
| |
| Date of birth |
| 29 July 1982 |
| Brakes debut |
12 August 2006 v Oadby Town (H) 1-0
(Midland Alliance) |
| Playing history |
Jamie
signed for Leamington from Coventry Sphinx before the start
of the 2006-07 season. He can play either on the right
or in the centre of midfield. His previous clubs include
Barnt Green Spartak and Coventry Marconi. While at Marconi
he played for the Midland Combination Representative XI in
the FA National League Systems Cup along side Leamington's
Steve Thompson who captained a side that include several Brakes
players. Deserved joint winner of the "Player of the Year" award
with Jon Adams at the end of the double-winning 2006-7 campaign,
Jamie surely created more than his fair share of Brakes goals
through pinpoint crosses and free kicks.
Jamie signed a two-year contract with Nuneaton Borough in
June 2007.
He made a surprise return to the New Windmill Ground when rejoining
Leamington on loan for a month on 25 October 2007. This loan
has subsequently been extended. |
