Signed from Central Ajax in December 2002, a former Warwickshire Academy player, Ryan's appearances were limited in 2004-05 through injury. He is noted for his versatility and has played several different positions.

Ryan was voted "Player of the Season" by the Brakes fans and won "Senior Team Player of the Year" awards in 2005-06 but for personal reasons his playing opportunities were limited in the following year.

Back to his best in 2007-8, Ryan continues to prove what a valuable player is he, making excellent apperances in defence and on both wings.
