Signed from Tipton Town on 4 August 2007 after impressing in pre-season friendlies. Marcus has a tremendous track record in the Southern League and Midland Football Alliance as a tricky winger and goalscorer. His previous clubs are Stourbridge (2003), Bromsgrove Rovers (2003-04), Rushall Olympic (2001-02 and again 2005), Stourport Swifts (2006) and Tipton Town (2007). He was winner of the Kevin Keegan MFA Player of the Year Award in season 2001-02. Marcus played against Leamington in the epic MFA League Cup Final at Bescot Stadium.

In 2007-8 he became a firm Brakes' favourite, and made a central attacking midfield position his own.
