Signed at the beginning of December 2005, when a Warwick University student, James has played for Airbus FC, Tooting & Mitcham United (Isthmian League 1) and the university side. He has also been in the England Futsal squad.

Jimmy combines pace with ball skills and is one of the first names on the Leamington team sheet. For much of his time with Brakes he has played on the left wing but a move to central midfield late in the 2007-8 season, in which he teamed up brilliantly with Marcus Jackson, proved to be a revelation. He well deserved the club award of Player of the Season.
