After a second half period of sustained pressure from Rothwell as they sought an equaliser, Jason Cadden rang the changes. Jamie Towers replaced Robbie Beard and, with Ryan Parisi switching to the left, James Husband reverted to the midfield, where he has been so effective in recent matches, releasing Mackey to partner Justin Marsden in attack. The changes worked brilliantly, as it was Brakes who were to score again, with Mackey heading home a perfectly flighted cross from the right from Towers. 2-0 with ten minutes remaining
