Swifts (A) BGB Midland Division - 12 Jan 2008
Thanks to David Clough and Verian Thomas for the pics.
A 1-0 win completes the double over Swifts.

The game went ahead after a
morning pitch inspection.
The rain had been a deluge on Friday and there were fears
that
the nearby River Severn would burst its banks. (Verian)

The crowd of 262 was the highest
ever for a Swifts league match and their second highest (behind
Chester City) in their all-time records.
Brakes, in red, attacked
the "car park end" in the first half. (David)

Brakes press but find
Stourport defending in depth (Verian)

Vijay Sidhu carded (Verian)

The burger van did a
roaring trade on a cold day.
There was no swift in the "Swift
Burger", though.
Are they a protected species? (David)

Swifts' keeper Chris
Jay was the home side's hero on the day.
He stopped three
or four good goalbound shots. (David)

As Stourport tired after
an hour on the heavy pitch, Brakes began to find
more gaps and eventually won the game courtesy of an own
goal (David)
