Leamington lions again dominated another west
midland league clash without getting the rewards the team deserved
Leamingtion lions had over 70 per cent of possession and lions
never looked like conceding with player of the match goalkeeper
Vicky Busby having a very assured game
Sharon Williams was a constant threat down the left and a number
of chances
were being created with lions having over 7 corners in the
first half
Stacey Doughty and Kate Bradshaw were in total control of the
midfield. Sam Morris was a constant threat upfront and went
close on a number of occasions
Kate Bradshaw then went on a fine run and shot narrowly wide
The second half started in similar fashion with shorty being
a threat on the right hand side of midfield
The lions had a number of corners and headless cross made a
number of last ditch tackles
The lions continued to press the game and Sam Morris went on
a good run and the keeper got down to save her shot
In the last 10 mins lions could not make the breakthrough but
their commitment could not be faulted
The lions manager Russell Davis said " We wanted three
points out of this game and it was disappointing not to get
them with so much possession but the defence looked assured
again and we can build on this performance "
