Holleran's Squad Takes ShapeBrakes Manager Paul Holleran's squad for the forthcoming season is shaping up nicely with the confirmation that a large number of last seasons squad have now agreed terms. The news that goalkeeper Tony Breeden, defenders Scott Lycett, Michael Tuohy , Gary Knight and Guy Sanders have all finalised terms with the club will be welcome news for the fans. Also signing up for 2010-11 are midfielders James Husband, Peter Faulds and Chris Murphy along with striker Matt Lewis. Holleran said, "Discussions have been very positive with the players and I am close to finalising terms with some of the others. I am still looking to strengthen the squad in a number of areas and hopefully will have some more news on that front in the coming week. As pre-season looms on the horizon players will now be a little more anxious to reach agreement on their futures. I am comfortable with progress so far." Coach Richard Beale and Assistant Manager Lee Williams will once again be signing forms thus providing Holleran with useful back-up options. Friendly Date ConfirmedConference North Nuneaton Town will provide the opposition for the last pre-season home game at the New Windmill Ground this summer on Saturday 7th August, 3pm ko. This should provide a testing encounter for both teams as they seek to fine tune things in advance of the season kicking off on Saturday 14th August.
Cheltenham Town at the New Windmill GroundManager Paul Holleran has been using his wide network of contacts to good effect with Football League Two Cheltenham Town providing the opposition for the opening pre-season friendly at the New Windmill Ground on Saturday 10th July.
Midfielder Downes Joins ClubExperienced Solihull Moors central midfield player Lee Downes has become the latest addition to the Brakes squad after agreeing terms with Manager Paul Holleran. Downes was captain at the Moors last season having joined them in January 2009 from Redditch United. The 27 year old central midfield player brings plenty of Blue Square Conference North experience to the New Windmill Ground having transferred to Redditch in 2006 from Stafford Rangers.

Constitution Zamaretto Premier Division Season 2010-11The constitution of the Premier Division for next Season has been announced by the Football Association today. There are, however, still some unresolved issues across the National League System and lists may be subject to amendment if necessary when those issues have been resolved. Get your tourist maps out with sea-side trips to Weymouth and Weston plus visits to Royal Windsor and Roman Cirencester. Also new to the Premier Division this season are Chesham United.
Another New Player on BoardManager Paul Holeran has added further quality to his squad with the acquisition of experienced Conference North player Craig Wilding. Striker Wilding transferred to Worcester City in 2006 from Redditch United and was team captain last season. His previous clubs include Chesterfield and York City . Paul Holleran said, "I have agreed a deal with Craig and am delighted to have gained a player of his pedigree. He has quality, experience and is the right age. I believe he has a hunger to succeed with Leamington and will be a good signing for the club both on and off the field. He will bring something different to the team and can play up front or in midfield." Pyramid Structure Announcement Monday The FA are due to announce the make-up of the leagues of the Non-League System on Monday 17th May. Their Leagues Committee met last Thursday to decide upon the Pyramid Structure for Season 2010-11 and will reveal all at 2pm tomorrow.
Corbett on BoardStriker Luke Corbett committed his future to Leamington FC for Season 2010-11 after agreeing terms with Manager Paul Holleran yesterday evening. Paul Holleran said, "I am delighted to have secured Luke's services for the next 12 months. He made a significant contribution last season and is still developing as a player. I am looking for him to continue that development and make an even greater impact next season. Discussions with players from last seasons squad have been very positive and I hope to be able to make more announcements in the very near future."
