Leamington begin their preparations for the forthcoming Zamaretto League Premier Division season in earnest over the next week, with two tough opponents scheduled to visit the New Windmill Ground to take on Paul Holleran's men. First up are npower League Two side Cheltenham Town. The Robins, who were regular opponents of Brakes during their Southern League days, are the first professional club to visit Harbury Lane for a pre season fixture, and manager Mark Yates has promised to bring his first team squad along for the 3pm kick off this Saturday.

Following this tough baptism into the pre season preparations, Brakes will then host Blue Square Bet Premier Division side Tamworth on Tuesday (7.45pm kick off). The Lambs, managed by former European Cup winner Gary Mills, survived comfortably on their return to Non League's top table last season, and will provide another stern test for Holleran's side, who will be looking to improve on their 10th place finish last season. This will be a first opportunity to see summer signings Craig Wilding, Lee Downes, Liam Daly and Alex Cowley in the Gold and Black.
