Yeltz raided again for new defender
Leamington boss Paul Holleran has swooped on Zamaretto Premier Division rivals Halesowen Town again to sign towering central defender Liam Daly.
The 22 year old, who spent the latter part of last season at The Grove after switching from Blue Square North outfit Solihull Moors, has a weallth of experience at Southern League Premier Division level, despite his relative youth. He began his career at Birmingham City, but has also enjoyed spells at Corby Town, Redditch United and Evesham United. He was unfortunately injured in a bad car accident in 2009 whilst enjoying a good run in the Moors side, and linked up with Halesowen following his recovery.
At 6ft 6 he will add height and presence to the Leamington back line, and Holleran was delighted to be able to add to this area of his squad, saying: "Liam is the kind of player I've been trying to bring in, he's got good experience at this level and above, he's dominant in both penalty areas, and will be a great asset to us." The club would like to welcome Liam to the New Windmill Ground.
