The club are saddened to report that Alan Davies, the former Chairman of Leamington Brakes FC (Boy's) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this week. Alan was a stalwart of the Junior Brakes's who at the time of his death was still actively coaching and assisting in the running of the Under 15 and 17 teams in which his grandsons played, having stepped down from his Chairman's role two years previously.
Leamington FC Chairman Jim Scott said "The news of Alan's passing shocked me. My deepest sympathy and condolences, along with those of the club, go out to his family at this sad time. He played a big part in the lives of his grand children and his passing will undoubtedly be a hard one for them to take. Alan was a lovely man who always wanted to do the right thing by everyone and set an excellent example both to his own family and the boys within the Juniors set-up. He will be sadly missed."
A minutes applause will be held in his memory prior to kick off and there is the possibility that family members will attend the game to witness the Brakes family coming together to honour his life.
